Hi! My name is Blake Mann. I'm a New Media Production and Design student at SAIT Polytechnic, in Calgary Alberta.
I work in a variety of fields, including graphic design, web design, and interactive media. This work requires me to utilize a wide range of software and tools, which means that I am well versed using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver, as well as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Most of my knowledge in these programs is self-taught, though now that I am attending SAIT, I am learning even more, and picking up things that I missed. Previously the bulk of my work was doing freelance logo design using Photoshop and Illustrator, and am now also starting to branch into using Flash, and will hopefully be learning about Unity 3D in the near future.
Currently, my main interest lies in interactive media, with an ultimate goal of working in the upper levels of the video game development industry.
